About the Product Manager Role

Untapped Global is an investment and technology company based in the US, with offices and representatives in Belgium, Kenya, Egypt and South Africa. Our mission is to bridge the investment gap in emerging markets by radically changing the risk profile of debt investment in these countries for everyday investors. To do so, Untapped has developed a Smart Asset Financing technology and investment platform that leverages IoT technology to track the usage and revenue of assets used by entrepreneurs in emerging markets in real time and pay back investors.

Their global team of investment professionals and international entrepreneurs has decades of experience operating in and investing in frontier markets, information technology, and finance.

Untapped and Smart Assets Financing pulls directly from our successes and learnings that give us insight into what investors want, and what entrepreneurs in emerging markets need to succeed. Untapped has initiated a special project, VoltAfrica, to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility (e-mobility) in Africa. VoltAfrica’s goal is to look at identifying, designing and prototyping one or several technological solutions that will facilitate the flow of capital towards innovative and decarbonised mobility in Africa, ultimately supporting entrepreneurs and participating in economic growth.

They are looking for a Product Manager/business analyst (5-7 years’ experience) to join its high-paced team to design a viable technological solution which will contribute to accelerating e-mobility adoption in Africa. ● Facilitating and optimising the management of assets (tracking, charging, and maintenance)

● Making electric vehicles more affordable (by realising the lower cost of ownership of electric vehicles)

● De-risking and formalising the sector

● Allowing for more efficiency and transparency

The objective is to have a viable demonstrator by mid-2023. The Product Manager will be working in collaboration with the CEO and CTO of Untapped Global and with the Managing Director of VoltAfrica.
